Happy Thursday my loves..
I know a lot of you are familiar with Big Hero 6 movie. It has been advertised for months already since the beginning of this year. In fact, I thought it has already been shown on the cinemas but it turned out it was just shown this week. And of course, having a son who loves movies, I had no choice but to go to the movies. Not that I regret doing so, in fact, I loved it that I did.
This movie is one of the few animated movies produced by Disney. Since the introduction of Pixar and other animation giants, Disney has been left behind in terms of animations. Some of the few animations that Disney has produced are “Wreck It Ralph” and “Frozen”. Big Hero 6 is another masterpiece that I would recommend for mommies and kids because it has many lessons.
1. Brothers should love and take care of each other.
This is Tadashi and Hero. They are brothers and as such, they have displayed brotherly love. They support each other. Although at first they were different in terms of their view of life and education, on the middle part of the movie, they both agreed on one thing – education is necessary. Tadashi, being the older brother, ensures that Hero gets what he needs. Although he supports Hero with his passion on bot fighting, he still does what he can to make Hero realize the importance of learning.
Lesson: We should always exhibit love for our brothers. We should always think of each other’s benefits.
2. Family will always be there for each other.
Lesson: We will have many friends but let us not forget that relatives will be the one left when you think you have lost everything.
3. Technology should be used to help other people.
Baymax is the science project of Tadashi. He is created as a personal healthcare companion. His purpose is to help people who are in need of his care. He will not be deactivated unless the person is already satisfied with the care.
Lesson: We should not use technology to put down other people or to take advantage of others. God has given us wisdom and intelligence to use as a means to help other people.
4. True friends will stick with you through thick and thin.
These are Tadashi’s school mates. When Tadashi died in the fire, these friends were on Hero’s rescue. They did things that are even beyond their personalities just to help Hero. They went all the way in helping out a friend’s brother.
Lesson: We should be wise in choosing our friends. We may have many friends but not all them will be true to us. We should pray for discernment so we will know which of our friends are true.
5. If there’s a will, there’s a way.
Baymax’s physical appearance looks like a giant marshmallow. Tadashi did it this way so that Baymax will appear to be huggable and comforting. But Hero made some improvements on Baymax so he can program him to be more than just a personal healthcare companion.
Lesson: We can be whoever we want if really want to. If there’s a will, there’s a way. No matter how we think we can’t, there will always be ways that we can.
There you go my loves. I loved the movie and my son loved it too.
